Are you going to spend Memorial Day weekend at Lake Cascade, McCall, or somewhere else? You may require your customary patience throughout the summer holidays. The Idaho Transportation Department reported that traffic on Idaho 55 is “backed up” following a Friday afternoon collision. The incident occurred between Horseshoe Bend and Banks at 3 p.m. and was likely to cause traffic delays, according to an ITD post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The agency said that both lanes were open, but “traffic is moving slowly.” Ellen Mattila, a transportation department representative, told the Idaho Statesman via phone about 4:45 p.m. that drivers should keep an eye out for emergency vehicles and that traffic was “slow going.” Before going, ITD recommends that motorists visit 511.idaho.gov. Mattila had no idea how severe the crash was or when it will be cleared.
