Heather McNamara has passed away unexpectedly. She was confirmed dead on Sunday, June 2, 2024 following recent social media publications announcing her tragic death. She died leaving many hearts scarred after learning of her sudden death. Without any doubt, she will always be missed by all those who knew her during the course of her life. Her family and friends are devastated by the sudden loss of Heather McNamara.

Many people in the Islip Terrace, New York community will mourn Heather since she battled so valiantly for such a long time. When you hear her name, a few things that immediately come to mind are her kindness, strength, optimism, and grin. She was a role model for many of us and had a constant desire to lend a hand to others. Heather made a lifelong commitment to helping those in need. Following her high school graduation, Heather worked as an EMT with Exchange Ambulance. She was and will always be a bright, loving, compassionate, witty, and warm light of sunshine. She has the most amazing capacity to connect with people and understand patients’ needs in order to make them feel comfortable. Heather was a gifted caregiver and an amazing young lady who will be deeply missed.
I had the pleasure of knowing Heather when she was a probie at exchange ambulance. So many memories of going down to collect some hours and seeing Heather there making everyone life. She reminded us to never take life too seriously and do the best you can with the hand you were dealt. Heather McNamara im so proud of you and everything you had accomplished.
