Jake Gould of Aloha, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend. He died following a fatal motorcycle accident leaving his family and friends. Loved ones are mourning the news of his passing. The officials who responded to the accident scene are yet to release a statement.
In April, a man died in Oregon after colliding with a concrete barrier and plummeting thirty feet off a bridge. In a news statement, the Salem Police Department verified that on April 18, Mark Steven Sewell, 27, “lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the concrete barrier” while riding his motorcycle east over the Center Street Bridge in Salem.
The rider was sent over the barrier and around thirty feet to the ground beneath the bridge by the crash, according to the police. The southbound off ramp to Front Street was blocked for more than two hours as police conducted an investigation after Sewell was declared dead at the scene, according to the department.
Police figures indicate that this is Salem’s ninth significant traffic accident of 2024, as well as the ninth traffic-related death.

Joie Elwell, Aloha High School graduate wrote on Facebook; as if today couldn’t get any harder I got news that someone I grew up with since middle school had his life tragically taken in a motorcycle accident. I will never understand why this life can be so cruel. We ran around like menaces to society as kids. Jake Gould you have no idea how loved you are and how many lives you have touched throughout the years. Even when we got older we made some crazy memories together and I will miss you for forever. Your humor and goofiness will live on forever and i will always cherish the times you were there for me and the times we shared. I’m struggling tonight wishing I was home more than ever. Sending love to the entire community we grew up with and hope you all know I’m sending love.
