Officials confirmed that a construction worker died Thursday morning after falling nine storeys from scaffolding in North Oakland. Around eight in the morning, first responders were dispatched to a construction site on Melwood Avenue where a worker had fallen from scaffolding. Medical personnel reported finding a man with serious injuries when they arrived. The time of his death was 8:01 a.m. John J.
