One of the two people found dead inside an Illinois house in what seems to be a murder-suicide was a “beloved” second grade teacher. According to a news release from the Normal Police Department, police were called to a residence in Normal at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, in relation to a gunshot. When the police came, they located a man and a woman who had been shot.
According to the police, their wounds claimed their lives. 48-year-old Amy Moore was fatally shot by 46-year-old Matthew Moore after he “illegally entered” the house with a revolver. The authorities say Moore then committed suicide. Amy Moore’s husband, Matthew Moore, was divorcing her. Amy Moore was a second grade unit 5 teacher at Grove Elementary for 20 years.
