Orlando, Fl: The Florida Highway Patrol reports that early on Monday morning, a 16-year-old kid from Kissimmee died and another 16-year-old boy from Orlando was badly hurt after their automobile went airborne on International Drive in Orange County and struck two signs and a tree. Around 12:30 a.m., a deadly single-vehicle collision occurred on I-Drive close to Tanglewood Bay Drive in the vicinity of Orlando.
What Happened?
The Kissimmee boy was reportedly approaching a private entry at Tanglewood Bay Drive while driving a 2006 Ford Fusion south on I-Drive, according to the FHP. According to an FHP collision report, the Fusion lost control and flew after hitting a curb. It then impacted a tree, a concrete community entrance sign, and a traffic sign. The two were ejected from the automobile as the car flipped, according to the collision report. Troopers said that neither teen was using a seat belt.
According to the FHP, the Kissimmee kid was pronounced deceased at the scene, he was identified by loved ones on social media as Santiago Torres. In serious condition, the Orlando kid was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
