Chase Yarns of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, has passed away. On Monday morning, Chase C. Yarns, 26, of Clarks Summit, died suddenly. The disclosure of his death was made in different social media posts on Facebook. He will be terribly missed by his family and friends. His cause of death was not disclosed at the time of this publication. Please pray for his family and have them in your thoughts as they travel this tough and rough road.
About Chris Yarns
As the first set of quadruplets born in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Chase was born in 1998 at CMC in Scranton. His parents, Amy and Chief Christopher Yarns of Clarks Summit, were his parents.
Chase participated in track & field and cross-country at Abington Heights High School, where she graduated in 2016. After attending and graduating from Pottersville, New York’s Word of Life Bible Institute, he went on to Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania’s Clarks Summit University. Chase graduated with excellent honors (4.0 GPA) from CSU and Word of Life, both institutions recognizing his dedication to hard work.
He was an enthusiastic member of Steamtown Church in Scranton and Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, New Jersey, before becoming a passionate member of Hickory Street Presbyterian Church in Scranton as a child.
His Social and Family Life
As a brother, uncle, and son, Chase was kind and compassionate. He was a guy of great faith who loved his religion and being of service to others. Chase loved being outside, traveling, going on walks and runs, and spending time with his family. He followed his hobbies. His love of music brought him to teach himself guitar; his love of running carried him from high school track and cross-country teams to completing the Steamtown Marathon in 2022; his love of people led him to join various clubs/organizations that all shared a common interest in helping and working with others.
Everyone who knew Chase will miss his quick wit, sense of humor, laugh, and smile.
His Obituary
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Steamtown Church, 1511 Pittston Ave. Scranton, PA 18505 or Scranton Counseling Center, 329 Cherry St. Scranton, PA 18505. The Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, located at 1310 Morgan Highway in Clarks Summit, will have a funeral ceremony on Saturday at 1 pm. From 11 a.m. until the start of the funeral, friends and family are welcome to offer their respects.
