El Dorado High School, Car Accident: On Tuesday morning, June 4, officials reported that a teenage student lost his life and four others were hurt in a two-vehicle collision that happened just south of El Dorado High School in Placentia. Just after 8:15 a.m., Placentia police were summoned to the intersection of Yorba Linda Boulevard and Valencia Avenue. They discovered the adolescent driver was stuck in his car, but another youngster in the passenger seat had managed to escape on his own, according to Sgt. Joe Connell.
According to Connell, the other driver was a 39-year-old lady who was traveling with a boy and a girl. The juvenile driver was seriously hurt in the collision. After being freed from the car by firefighters and brought to a hospital, he passed away. According to the sergeant, the other four were also admitted to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
According to Connell, the adolescent motorist was of driving age and had a current license. It was assumed that he and his passenger were on their way to school based on the time and location of the collision. Connell stated that drinking and drugs were not thought to have played a role in the collision. Witnesses were questioned by police, but the reason and circumstances before the collision were still unknown.
Police withheld any details on the juvenile driver until after notifying his family.
