Jim Beardmore, a former All-American lacrosse goalkeeper and coach, has passed away. The information concerning his death was publicly announced on several social media posts. He used to be the Hamburg Warriors B-Team’s head coach. He is the son of Clayton “Buddy” Beardmore, a longtime coach at the University of Maryland and inductee into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He will be missed by so many people who knew and loved him.

Beardmore graduated from The Severn School in Severna Park, Maryland, and went to the University of Maryland. received the Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Award for Goalie of the Year in the NCAA in 1987.[3] Beardmore also garnered first-team All-ACC mention, player of the year honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference, and first team All-American recognition. Beardmore spent five seasons as a player for the Pittsburgh Bulls and the Washington Wave in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League.

In the 2007 MLL season, Beardmore led the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse as head coach. He is also the director of All-American Sports Camps and Nike Lacrosse Summer Camps, and he has coached several high schools, including Severna Park. During the 2008 season, he was Colorado Academy’s head lacrosse coach.
