Once the Dodge Durango, which was speeding on the Massachusetts Avenue Connector, crashed through the intersection at Frontage Road, struck a concrete barrier, and fell 40 feet onto a highway ramp leading from Interstate 93 north to the Massachusetts Turnpike, officials confirmed that one person had died. Firefighters were spotted dousing the burning wreckage of the car, which was resting on its roof, on a highway ramp close to the train tracks on the other side of Widett Circle.
