The Ashley’s Signature Restaurant has confirmed the passing of their executive chef, Nicholas Coleman, he was 38 years old. Nicholas Coleman of Northampton, Pennsylvania, died on June 6, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. According to the statement released, Coleman was recommended by Beth Raynock (owner of Local Mama Catering), and he graced the kitchen with his culinary prowess, infusing every dish with delicious flavors and creative flair. “From “C.R.E.A.M.” to “Rocket Man,” his inventive food names mirrored his passion for both cooking and music.”

Nick completed his education at Catasauqua High School in 2004. He participated on the varsity wrestling and soccer teams. He attended King’s College for a number of classes. He belonged to the youth organizations at St. Lawrence Church and performed the role of altar boy there. For eleven years, he served as a volunteer fireman with The Charotin Hose Company No. 1.
Afterwards, he began working as an executive chef. He spent a year working at Restaurant Store, Folino Estate Winery, Riegelsville Inn, Starters Pub, Blue, Bravo, Morgan Hill, BookStore Speakeasy, Riverview Country Club, and Ashley Signature Restaurant, among other places in the Lehigh Valley. In all of his menu design innovations, he was an artistic designer.
Funeral Arrangements
Private services will be provided at his family’s choice. As an organ donor, Nick contributed as much in life as he did in death. By his generosity, Nick was able to provide the gift of sight as his last act of charity.
